What should we do when there is an accident/loss due to fire/flood/inundation to our property?

 

1. Please safeguard the property from further loss

2. Minimize the loss with firefighting operations

3. Separate the sound material from the damaged and shift to the safe location

4. Immediately intimate to the Fire Brigade/Police for help

5. Inform the Insurance Company immediately to reach you

What should we do when there is an accident and some third party injured?

 

If the injuries are minor in nature immediately take them to hospital and intimate the claim to the MHDI and nearest Police about the incident.

What is the process to be followed in case of burglary?

 

1. Intimate to Police and Insurance Company immediately and do not disturb the premises till police and investigator visit.

2. Safeguard the property/stock from further loss

How can I intimate a claim to MHDI?

When and whom the document to be submitted?

 

Documents shall be submitted to the surveyor during the survey or directly to the Insurance Company.

Whether we need to be present during the survey?

 

Yes, it is advised to present during the survey and give full cooperation in arranging the documents and information to him for speedy process of claim.

When can we expect the surveyor?

 

Surveyor will be attended the claim within 24 hours in the city limits and 48 hours in the other locations based on the actual distance to be travelled.

When can we hear from Insurance Company about our assessment?

 

The Insurance Company will intimate the quantum of loss after processing the claim before making the payment.

How much time to make the payment?

 

The payment will be done within 15 working days after receipt of all documents, survey report and clarifications from the insured.
